For 20 years the Amanto aliens have run Japan, having banned all swords and displaced the samurai. Gintoki Sakata, an eccentric samurai; Shinpachi Shimura, heir to a sword school; and Kagura, an incredibly strong alien girl are self-employed in an odd jobs shop called Yoruzuya Gin-chan. They offer to do almost anything for a price, from finding lost kittens to saving the world.
