Neets and Nerds

This panel takes a look at the whys and wherefores of the NEET and Hikikomori characters featured in many popular Japanese anime. These characters seem to show up in Japan far more frequently than they do in Western literature.We will take a look at who they are, what motivates them, and how they offer a kind of redemption to the nerd inside all of us.
