Shoyo Hinata began playing volleyball after seeing the "little giant" who played for Karasuno High when he was in elementary school. At his only middle school tournament, he encounters the prodigy Tobio Kageyama. So, Hinata joins Kurasuno's volleyball team, vowing revenge against Kageyama.
