C.A. Greyson is a creative for Dusk Publishing. She writes, and illustrates comic books as well as creates audiobooks and novels. She runs a weekly comic strip on her website, (www.cagreyson.com) as well as a monthly podcast covering her specialty: East vs. West geekdom. Her influences growing up were books, comics, and manga. She had a huge affinity for culture, folklore, and the dark side. Currently residing in the heart of Dallas, she finds solace riding her motorcycle and visiting local bistros, cafes, and shopping for her two loveable floofs Owlbie and Nova.(a fancy rat and albino dumbo rat!)

She has visited Japan twice for research on her up-and-coming graphic novel and book series: Hell’s Gate, slated for a fall release in 2017. She is known to crash many conventions dressed as her favorite characters and inconspicuously blending into the crowd. Her comics tend to reflect her Eastern and Western philosophies, as she was raised by a father from China and mother from the U.S. She grew up with Eastern and Western folklore (by a kick-ass stepdad that had a love for Chinese and Japanese comics.)

Once a month, she releases original audio shorts on Soundcloud called The Haunting Hour that reflect her love for the tales of horror and thrillers she listened to as a child. Growing up in the lower-east side of Dallas gave her a unique perspective on life, and so you can find many forms of that reflected in her work.

Graduating just last year from the University of Texas at Dallas, she decided that Clinical Psychology was not the route to go. After a bold move, she took her life in a different direction and decided to pour herself into what she always knew and loved: writing, illustration, and directing. When she’s not devoting herself to 50-60 hour work-weeks, she’s using her time to read, play games, and cosplay. Bet you didn’t know: When she reads, she spends her time learning as much science, math, and coding as possible! With an insatiable mind, she is constantly learning, and so with her first book series, she took an astounding 2 years to study about great wars in history, took Krav Maga, and learned a certified rifle course, for her third book in the series. Now that’s dedication.
