Many anime show characters that get sick or die but how realistic are these portrayals. I have a panel presentation that goes over some common health/wellness, illness/death, and medical professional tropes and how they are portrayed and how that compares to the reality. I also discuss how representations of illness and hospitals can affect people’s feelings and medical decisions. There will be an audience Q and A after.
