Body Recomp for Cosplay 101: How to Build Your Body for Cosplay

Body Recomp for Cosplay is a series of panels created by Jon Brown, the founder of growing social media group “Nerds Who Lift Weights.” Jon has over 10 years of professional fitness experience and 9 fitness certifications. His co-panelist, Jazz Daigle, has 5 years of training experience and 3 certifications.
Nerds Who Lift Weights was created because of the important role social support plays in program adherence and because fitness culture traditionally has not been very welcoming to those who identify as nerds or geeks. Additionally, fitness influencers are increasingly targeting nerds and anime fans, so we want to counter the misinformation and ineffective protagonist-themed workouts with proven facts based in science. We also see an opportunity to provide useful information to people who have the goal of transforming their bodies but do not feel comfortable in traditional fitness spaces and/ or are unsure of what to do and where to start.
This is a great panel for anyone who is dedicated to cosplay and wants to look the part or who wants science-backed information from certified trainers in a familiar environment to help them along their fitness journey.
