Ball jointed dolls or BJDs for short are highly customizable dolls that come from Asian countries. However, they are not your average doll and can be made into any character you want! There are even some that come designed like anime characters from some of your favorite shows! In this 101 panel you will get to have a first hand look at these dolls. There will also be a prize for a very lucky attendee!

My name on the internet is Asenva and I have been in the BJD (Ball Jointed Doll) hobby for over 10 years. I have a partnership with Youtube (https://m.youtube.com/user/AsenvaBJD) and over 10,000 subscribers. I also work with the top American distributor (Junky Spot) for these dolls and do reviews for their company. I am also the founder of a Facebook group (BJD Addicts) that has over 17k members all around the world who post about their dolls.
I recently started a very successful blog that gets already over 1k clicks per month (www.bjdlife.com)

I have done panels such as BJD Basics (101), BJD Addicts Live Prompts, BJD Gameshows, and BJDs and YouTube.
I just recently was a guest for Doll Con Dallas and we had such a blast! In the past I have also presented at Omnicon in the RGV, San Japan, Realms Con, A-Kon, and Nomi-Kai.
So why should AFest have a BJD panel? Well believe it or not there is quite a large community of BJD collectors located in Dallas and within the anime community. There are also several anime fans that may be interested in BJDs since more and more anime BJDs are coming out. This is a very unique panel that con goers will enjoy!
