Mr. Tomohiko Ishii was born in 1977 in Tokyo, Japan.

In 1999 he joined Studio Ghibli. There he assumed the role of assistant producer under Producer Toshio Suzuki, and worked on Spirited Away, The Cat Returns, and Howl’s Moving Castle.

Mr. Ishii joined Production I.G. in 2006, producing such works as Director Mamoru Oshii’s Sky Crawlers and Ghost in the Shell 2.0, as well as Director Kenji Kamiyama’s Eden of the East, Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. SOLID STATE SOCIETY 3D, and others.

Most recently, Mr. Ishii produced Director Kenji Kamiyama’s latest work, 009 RE:CYBORG, which is now playing in theaters throughout Japan.
