5TH Annual Carter Blood Drive

We will again be hosting Carter Blood Care to encourage blood donations. Every year our members help save lives.

OH NO!!! Last year the number of people donating blood went down by 55 people! We can do better than that. Let's show them how fantastic anime fans are and aim for 250 participants and see if we can get the headline - ANIME FANS SAVE LIVES.

Blood Donation Facts:

"Do It For Others-
Every day, close to 800 patients in North, Central and East Texas require timely blood transfusions. The majority of this blood comes from blood drives organized by groups like AnimeFest. When you donate at a blood drive, you give patients in our community a second chance at life or better health. We need 1,100 blood donors a day to meet our community's need.

Do It For Yourself-
Giving blood is also a great way for donors to learn vital information about their own health. A free mini-physical is given at the time of donation, which includes a screening of blood pressure, pulse, temperature and iron levels. Blood donors can also find out their blood type and check their cholesterol level within days following donation.

You Can Help-
There are so many ways you can make sure the blood supply in North, Central and East Texas stays strong. Get involved in a way that fits your time, talents, and interests!"
