Hiroshi Shimizu was born in 1965 in Japan. Mr. Shimizu's professional experience extends across illustration, character design, storyboarding, key animation, and animation direction.

Last year, Mr. Shimizu worked as a the Animation Director, Key Animator, and storyboard artist for episode 8 - "The Lonely Pooch Planet, Baby" of Space Dandy. He also was the Animation Director for episode 6 - "The Gallant Space Gentleman, Baby" of Space Dandy Season 2. More recently Mr. Shimizu was the Mechanical Animation Director for the series The Rolling Girls, and also served as Chief Animation Director for 5 episodes. Furthermore, he recently contributed as a Key Animator on the upcoming new Lupin III TV series (2015) that will air first in Italy, then in Japan in the fall.
