At AnimeFest, Guest autographs are FREE.

The Line
The line for any particular autograph session will not form until, at earliest, 30 minutes prior to the session. Those attempting to form a line prior to this will be asked to disperse.

The Limits
There may be a limit of 1 or 2 items per turn in line depending on the session. Staff will make announcements to remind those in line of the limit for each session. There may be times the limit needs to be adjusted mid-session in order to better accommodate the number of people in line. You may re-enter the line if you choose to and staff has not already closed the line, however, there is no guarantee the line will progress enough to allow for a second turn.

What can be autographed?
For anyone without a personal item they would like autographed, AnimeFest provides free commemorative postcards and other special limited prints or posters on which the guest will sign. Some guests may also sell additional merchandise or photo prints on which they will provide a free autograph. Some guests may require an item to be personalized.

Photography
Generally speaking, photography, videography, or other recording of any Autograph session is prohibited. However, some guests have agreed to take a group photograph after the Autograph session ends should time provide. Please understand this is not a guarantee, and there may be times when the guest must leave immediately for the next item on their schedule.

For Those Left Standing
While every attempt will be made to provide an autograph to ever person in line, Guests may need to leave when the time for that session is over. In an effort to accommodate as many fans as possible, AnimeFest will try to arrange for the guests to pre-sign a number of postcards or other limited prints or posters. AnimeFest staff will offer these to the rest of the persons in line. AnimeFest understands this does not quite offer the same experience of greeting a guest and receiving an autograph in person, but we hope this will serve as an acceptable alternative.

"What is an Autograph?"
Please be aware that these "Autograph Session" events are 'autograph' events, not 'drawing or sketching' events. While there may be times at which our Guests may choose to doodle, or even make a rare exception for some reason, we kindly ask that you refrain from requesting sketches or presenting the guest with a blank sheet of paper or a traditional sign board. An artist often feels compelled into drawing when presented with a blank canvas, and the extra time it takes to sketch may lead to ultimately denying an Autograph to another fan. As such, our staff may ask you to put your sketchbook or signboard away prior to approaching the table. Should this happen to you, please realize this is being done in an effort to be fair to all and afford as many people in line the same chance at receiving an autograph. If you still strongly wish to get a traditional signboard or sketchbook page autographed (without any drawing or sketching), please discuss this with Guest Relations staff before you reach the front of the line. Blank pieces of paper (like copy or notebook paper) will not be signed. Failure to comply with these rules may result in forfeiting your chance at an autograph.

Regarding Japanese Guest Autograph Sessions

Special Tickets
For our Japanese Guest Autograph sessions, a special ticket will be required to line up.
The ticket does not guarantee an autograph. A ticket, which is valid only for the day shown on the ticket, does guarantee that you will be able to line up for a chance to receive an autograph, provided you arrive in line within 15 minutes after the start of the autograph session. If you do not have a ticket, you will not be permitted to line up until 15 minutes after the start of the autograph session.

How to Receive a Special Ticket
Tickets will be distributed by Guest Relations Staff toward the end of each of the Japanese Guest panels. Entrance to the Japanese Guest panels will be stopped 10 minutes after panel start time. The tickets will be the same for all applicable Japanese Guest panels. Multiple tickets will not afford you more chances for autographs. We kindly ask that you refrain from receiving more than one ticket per day.

Line Escorting
Due to scheduling limitations, there are cases in which a Japanese Guest panel may end immediately prior to the start of the Japanese Guest Autograph session. Please do not try to leave the panel early in order to line up. In the event a Japanese Guest panel ends immediately prior to the Japanese Guest Autograph session, and the guest(s) in said panel will also be signing during said autograph session, AnimeFest management may decide to escort the attendees of the panel who would like to line up for autographs to the front of the autograph line.

Lastly, there may be exceptions to the aforementioned rules made based on special requests from the Guest.
Your understanding and cooperation is appreciated.
