If all you can think of when you hear ‘board game’, is Monopoly or Scrabble, then you really need to pay a visit to our Board Gaming (BG) room. We have a collection of over 250 of the best games ever made. All of our games can be checked out for play. Our gaming staff prides itself on knowing how to play almost everything in our collection and would be happy to help pick or understand a game.
Tournaments
Favor of the Pharoh - FridayMagic: The Gathering Arena of the Planeswalkers Tactical Board Game - Prelims on Saturday with Finals on Sunday
Friday the 12th : Game demo and registration for tournament begins. Additional copies of the game will be available for convention attendees to check out, so grab your friends and battle one another across the planes of Zendikar. Tournament judges will be out spreading awareness of the event to con-goers throughout the hotel.
Registration will be available from the time the Tabletop HQ opens to the time it closes, registration will end the following day at noon. Only 15 slots to fill.
Saturday the 13th : First AnimeFest Open Tournament for Magic the Gathering: Arena of the Planeswalkers! Registration will end at 12:00 (noon), put your name on the list or you’ll miss out.
Tournament rollcall will begin at 2:00 pm on Saturday.
Attendance will be called until tournament capacity is met or until contestant number is reached.
Judges will explain the rules and key concepts of the game @ 2:30 for thirty minutes to familiarize new players.
Each player will be able to pick a pre-built Planeswalker and deck, or have the option to bring their own custom deck as long as they follow tournament guidelines.
The Army build and setup is 500 points .
The Spell Deck build and setup is 12 cards not to exceed 200 points.
Any expansion allowed. No spell duplicates.
There will be up to 3 instances of up to 5 participants in a free-for- all.
Terrain and coverage will be set up with with fair and moderate proportions.
All rounds start at once @ 3:15 and each instance will have their own respective judge.
Qualifying round time limit : 1 hour and 30 minutes.
The top 3 participants will be decided by last three standing.
Overtime rounds will be decided by the three highest scores after the first death in overtime.
The top three players from each qualifying round will move on to the final round on Sunday.
Sunday the 14th : The final round of the tournament will take place at 2:00 pm on Sunday. Up to 9 contestants will enter on a much larger arena.
Final round will end at 5:30 pm, allowing for additional time due to more terrain and more opponents.
Ranks will be determined by score totals, where the points are earned by killing other players minions or their planeswalker.
1 st , 2 nd and 3 rd place will each get their opportunity to pick one of the prizes in the order they placed.

You can only earn 1 raffle ticket per game with a maximum of 10 tickets per person. The drawing will be held on Sunday at 10pm. Must be present to win. Only one prize per person. If you win and your name is drawn again, you will have the option of turning in your first prize for the new prize.

Werewolves of the Dark Arts
Held every night starting on ThursdayWerewolf (the genre) is a social game ideally played by large groups of people. It is originally based on a game known as Mafia. In this game, the Villagers must discover the identity of the Werewolves before they are all killed. Every night, the Werewolves form a hunting pack to kill a single unlucky victim. When the sun rises, the hysterical Villagers pick someone to lynch. During the daytime phase of the game, the Werewolves pretend to be Villagers, or can even pretend to be the Seer, the one special Villager who can identify the Werewolves at night. Players are allowed to and encouraged to bluff, lie, and misdirect in order to win the game.
If the Villagers lynch all of the Werewolves, they win the game. If the number of Werewolves becomes equal to or greater than the number of all other remaining villagers, the Werewolves overpower them and win the game.
This is a custom version that includes a wide range of special roles beyond just the Seer. There are over 30 different roles to pick from. The suggested minimum number of players is 10, including the Town Mayor (GM), but it can go up to 30 people in one game.
