The Charity Auction and Donations Department plans events to raise funds for literacy and children who are at risk. Fundraising benefits local DFW communities. This will be our 11th year hosting a booth in the Dealers Room for direct sale items. It is also our 10th year to hold a live auction for charity. The 2017 charity recipient is Richardson Public Library, Children's Services.

Direct Sales

The direct sales portion of the Charity Booth will be open the same hours as the Dealers Room and has a little of everything. You can support the selected charity through a purchase or by donating gently used to like new condition items for resell. AnimeFest is a Family Friendly convention. Please keep all donations age appropriate to this audience.

Live Auction

The Dealer Room Charity Booth will also have live auction items on display. Items may be won before the auction starts with a direct buy bid. The auction will be held Sunday night, after Dealers Room close. Saturday 6pm. Location is TBD.

For the live auction, we are in need of like-new and new items. Artist creations are also in need. These categories of items do best in raising live auction funds. We will be placing artwork in the Art Show to be included with their silent bid to live auction event.

Forms of accepted payment in the charity booth and auction: cash, credit, and check.

Charity Stitches

In a joint project with other departments, we are for the 2nd year are gathering and creating items for infants and children receiving care at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas. Crafters are invited to make hats and blankets for infants and children receiving care at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas. Charity Stitches can use yarn, crochet hooks, knitting needles, no sew/anti pill fleece, cotton fabric and sewing tread. If you are not able to stay and craft with us, we will be accepting finished projects. These can be left at the Charity Fundraiser Booth in the Dealer’s Room.

Crafting sessions will be held TBD. Times and projects TBD.
