We are pleased to announce the following judges for AnimeFest 2016!
Adella Yukikaze
Best known for her richly detailed cosplays, Adella is a cosplayer who enjoys bringing every of the character into reality. Though some would say she needs to “get a life”, she believes it's the best overall resemblance to the character that makes the greatest cosplay. To this end she will craft up the smallest details including recreating the most photo-realistic costume, technically-accurate props, wig, and even the tones of makeup in order to achieve the perfect likeness.Besides her love of classic literature, modern Japanese light novels, anime and manga, Adella is also an active gamer who enjoys a wide range of different video game genres. As an avid researcher in history, much of her knowledge regarding period costume, fashion and military uniform styles also aids in adding era-correct touches to cosplays with historical background as well as the detailed, frequently functional fictional weapons that she crafts. She was also featured in several episodes of the television show "Six Gun Theater" as a guest western arms specialist.
Adella has been cosplaying since the early 2000's and has earned a total of 16 awards, stretching from 2005 to the current day. Honored to be part of this great anime community, Adella is more than happy to share everything she knows and answer any questions: ranging from general cosplay construction, to crafting the details on costumes and props, to tips on building impressively realistic props of fictional weaponry, to even ways to achieve and enhance a convincing crossplay!
